Genealogy book study group to meet
The Kentucky Genealogical Society is starting a genealogy book study/discussion group that will meet monthly beginning in September following the Second Saturday Genealogy workshops co-hosted by the Kentucky Genealogical Society and the Kentucky Historical Society at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in downtown Frankfort. The book study/discussion group will meet for an hour starting at about 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
Never miss a local story.
The group's first book for discussion is How to Do Everything Genealogy (4th Edition) by George Morgan. At the September session, led by society president and reference librarian Johnna Waldon, the group will discuss ideas presented in Chapter 1, "What is Genealogy," and Chapter 2, "How Do I Get Started."
The sessions will be open-forum events, so bring ideas and questions. Brown-bag lunches are welcome. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
