The community-University of Kentucky International Hospitality Program is looking for individuals and families to befriend first-year international students. The program offers a nonresidential, flexible experience for sharing the personal side of America with students and scholars from around the world, many of whom are experiencing their first trip to the United States.
The program asks participants to interact with their international friend once or twice a month for a year. Normal activities, such as a family outing, a dinner or a hike, are typical examples of experiences that can be shared. The program sponsors several get-togethers.
