Instructional Design program begun
Asbury University's School of Graduate and Professional Studies has launched a new Bachelor of Science in Instructional Design program designed to prepare students for success in the growing field. The program addresses the sweeping changes in technology that have brought about a growing need to educate people using new methods. The program will incorporate hands-on experience as well as personal mentorship. Asbury University estimates that there are more than 1,400 new instructional design jobs within a four-hour drive of Wilmore, many requiring only a bachelor's degree.
Colonial life described
Never miss a local story.
History professor Bill Covington recently presented "Churches and Religion in Colonial America" for residents of Wilmore's Wesley Village. Covington, who teaches at Navarro College near Dallas, spoke about the American Revolution and brought with him many of the actual accoutrements from patriots of the day. Covington's wife, June, is a graduate of Asbury College. For more details on all activities of the Wilmore Senior Community Center, call Alan at (859) 858-3865, Ext. 238.
