Across its first 99 years, the Kentucky Boys’ Basketball State Tournament has created a rich roster of heroes and folk heroes. This is what some of them — Richmond Madison’s Robert Brooks, Pulaski County’s Billy Bob Hardy, Edmonson County’s Phil “The Mountain” Rich, Bourbon County’s Jeff Royce, and Paintsville’s J.R.
