Winchester police have identified the woman who allegedly fired at officers Thursday afternoon and then was wounded herself.
Police said Sherry J. Martin, 50, was wounded after she fired at officers inside a home on Oxford Drive just before 6 p.m. Thursday. No officers were hurt.
Police said Martin was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with more than one gunshot wound, but there was no word on her condition Friday afternoon.
A hospital spokeswoman said Martin's name did not appear in the patient directory.

According to a news release from Winchester Police Capt. Shannon Stone, officers went to 360 Oxford Drive late Thursday in response to a gun-related call.
A man there told police that his mother-in-law had threatened him with a gun.
According to police, officers entered the home and found Martin in an upstairs bedroom. They ordered her several times to come out, police said.
"Martin then opened the bedroom door where she pointed and fired her firearm at the officers," the police statement said. "The officers then fired weapons."
At least two officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, police said.
