A driver was killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash that caused minor damage to a Lexington fire station, according to media reports.
A truck hit a car that was stopped at the light on East Maxwell Street at Woodland Avenue, according to WKYT. The car was pushed into Lexington Fire Station No. 5, causing minor damage. The crash occurred just before midnight.
The two people in the car were uninjured, but the driver of the truck died at the scene, according to WKYT. The Fayette County coroner told the news station that alcohol was suspected to have been a factor in the crash.
The name of the driver who was killed has not been released.
