University of Kentucky football fans can support the team for Friday’s game against Florida and help out Hurricane Irma victims at the same time.
Wildcat Wearhouse, a retailer specializing in UK gear, has re-released its “Gator Hater” T-shirt exclusively at its Lexington’s locations.
The T-shirts come in both blue and black and are $15 each, with $5 of that going toward hurricane relief efforts in Florida.
Store manager Rachel Smith said 400 shirts were ordered and are available only at the Lexington locations: Sir Barton Way, South Broadway and in the Fayette Mall. The shirts are gender neutral and range in sizes small to double XL.
Never miss a local story.
Wildcat Wearhouse is also selling a “Kentucky Cares” T-shirt on its website that includes the outline of the state of Florida. All proceeds will be donated directly to the American Red Cross. As of Sept. 14, it had raised $4,015 for Hurricane Irma relief, according to Wildcat Warehouse Facebook page.
Kentucky will take on Florida at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Kroger Field.
