A man accused of trying to run over Lexington police officers with a truck was arrested Sunday.
Police found Jeremiah Hager, 38, on Sept. 9 in a stolen vehicle on Winchester Road, according to court documents. Hager wouldn’t cooperate with police, then he turned on the ignition and tried to run over two officers in front of him.
As Hager sped off, according to court documents, the officers feared for their when the vehicle drove toward them. One officer was hit in the leg but wasn’t seriously hurt.
After Hager drove off, officers were able to confirm his identity with a jail photo from a previous arrest.
Hager faces 11 charges, including wanton endangerment of a police officer.
