Former first lady Jane Beshear is recovering after being injured in a riding accident at the Kentucky Horse Park.
She fell from her horse during a competition at the horse park and was taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital emergency room, former Gov. Steve Beshear said.
“While somewhat battered and bruised, there appears to be no serious injuries of any kind, and she is looking forward to being back on her horse in the very near future,” he said. “We appreciate everybody who has inquired about her and wanted everybody to know she’ll be OK.”
Her son, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear, thanked supporters on Twitter on Friday for their concern.
