One person was taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital Saturday after suffering second and third degree burns in an Lexington apartment fire.
The fire happened before 6 a.m. at the Connie Griffith Manor on Tower Plaza, according to WKYT, the Herald-Leader’s reporting partner.
Lexington firefighters told the TV station the fire started on the seventh floor, which caused heavy damage to a unit. Thirteen units in the apartment also suffered water damage.
Another person was also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The conditions of both victims were not immediately available.
