A Lexington woman died in a crash in Shelby County Monday morning.
Natasha N. Lewis, 24, was a passenger in a car driven by Ieshia C. Ford, 19, also of Lexington, state police said.
Ford was driving east on Interstate 64 at 8:49 a.m. when she lost control and over-corrected. Police said the car just barely hit another vehicle, then left the interstate and overturned several times before hitting a group of trees.
Lewis, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car. She died at the scene of the crash.
Ford, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Jewish Hospital Shelbyville, where she was treated and discharged.
