The man who escaped from prison during a weekly post-rehab session in June has been caught.
Police arrested Quaynell King, 29, Thursday night at a residence on Roosevelt Boulevard. King had been missing since June 22, when he checked out of Fayette County jail to attend a recovery program.
King was being held on two charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, having no vehicle insurance, not wearing a seat belt, being a persistent felony offender, possession of marijuana and fleeing and evading police.
King had been in Fayette County jail since August 24, 2008, but a circuit court judge allowed him to attend Next Step, a residential rehabilitation program at Kentucky River Community Care in Jackson from Dec. 31 to Jan. 31, 2008, court records state. Court later allowed him to attend weekly aftercare treatments every Monday.
