God's Pantry will offer free meals to youngsters at six Lexington locations through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Summer Food Service Program.
The Kids Cafe program serves children ages 18 and under who might not otherwise have enough to eat when school is out for the summer. God's Pantry expects to serve about 10,000 meals this summer.
The free meals are available at these times and locations:
■ West End Community Empowerment Project, 498 Georgetown Street. June 7-Aug. 9. 7:30-8:30 a.m. and noon-1 p.m. Monday-Friday.
■ The Rock LaRoca United Methodist Church, 1015 North Limestone. June 15-Aug. 10. Noon-12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
■ East Seventh Street Community Center, 240 East Seventh Street. June 7-Aug. 9. 4-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.
■ Shiloh Baptist Church VBS Program, 237 East Fifth Street. June 14-18. 5-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.
■ Consolidated Baptist Church, 1625 Russell Cave Road. June 21-Aug. 6. 7:30-8:15 a.m. and noon-1:35 p.m. Monday-Friday.
■ Manchester Center, 522 Patterson Street. June 7-Aug.10. 8-9 a.m. and noon-1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
