The 69th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor will be marked with a luncheon Tuesday that will honor those who served during the air raid on Dec. 7, 1941.
Some Pearl Harbor survivors from Central Kentucky will attend the event, which will begin at noon at the Oleika Shrine Temple, 326 Southland Drive.
Dr. Patrick Hagihara, a surgeon at the University of Kentucky, will talk about his experiences in Japan during the war.
The observance is sponsored by the Lexington-based Pearl Harbor Commemorative Association.
Never miss a local story.
Tickets for the buffet luncheon are $10, and reservations are requested. For information, call (859) 277-2654 or (859) 536-6925.
