A flash flood warning has been issued for Fayette County and some surrounding counties.
The warning is set to expire at 7:15 p.m., the National Weather Service said.
Northern Madison County is also under a flash flood warning until 7 p.m., and Pulaski County is under a warning until 8:30 p.m.
Flood advisories were issued for Lee and Wolfe counties, set to expire at 5 p.m.; Scott County, to expire at 5:45 p.m.; Adair, Clark, Jackson, Laurel, Estill, Powell and Rockcastle, to expire at 6 p.m.; Magoffin and Morgan, to expire at 7 p.m.; and Jessamine, Garrard, Johnson, Fleming and Rowan counties until 7:30 p.m.

The weather service said some areas of southern Scott County had received 2-3 inches of rain, with more expected.
