Alcohol is suspected as a factor in a one-vehicle crash that killed a Lexington woman on Thursday, police said.
Jennifer Carr, 38, was driving east on Todds Road when her car went off the road and hit a tree stump at 1:30 p.m.
She was pronounced dead at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, according to a coroner's report.
Police said she tried to take a curve too quickly, lost control of the car and hit the stump, which is 4 feet tall. She was the only person in the car, and she was not wearing a seat belt.
