Christmas tree moved outside Lexington's city hall

Workers removed a potentially hazardous Christmas tree from the inside of Lexington's city hall Friday. The tree was moved to a small balcony above the main entrance to the building on East Main Street. After a complaint, the fire department deemed the tree a hazard in violation of state law preventing the use of live or natural Christmas trees in places of public assembly.
