Lexington services affected by Presidents Day, observed Monday:
Public schools: Closed.
Government: Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government offices will be closed Monday. The city's recycling facility, electronic recycling center and the Haley Pike landfill will also be closed.
State offices and state courts: Open.

U.S. Postal Service: No regular mail delivery, pickup or retail services Monday
Herald-Leader: Regular delivery, offices open Monday; for questions about delivery, call 1-800-999-8881.
Libraries: The Central Library will be closed Monday to allow for renovation work to be done on the first floor. All other library locations will be open 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Health department: Closed Monday.
LexTran: Regular service.
City garbage: Residents whose regular collection day is Monday will receive collection service Wednesday, Feb. 22. Businesses that have city waste management services on their Dumpsters and normally have pickups on Mondays will have their units picked up Tuesday, Feb. 21. Businesses that normally have Tuesday pick ups will have their units picked up Wednesday, Feb. 22.
