Lexington authorities are warning University of Kentucky basketball fans against starting any celebratory fires during the NCAA Final Four this weekend.
Fire Department officials also say they're still seeking the person or persons who set fire to a couch on State Street after the Wildcats beat Baylor Sunday.
Fire investigators said Monday that they're reviewing photographs, security camera footage and social media in hopes of identifying those involved.
Anyone identified as having started the fire will be charged, fire officials said Monday.
Burning furniture or other objects in the street creates a danger that people will be hurt, or that flames could spread to automobiles or homes nearby, according to the fire department's division of arson investigation.
Meanwhile, authorities say they'll be on the lookout in areas near the UK campus this weekend with surveillance cameras, and won't hesitate to arrest and charge anyone caught starting fires. Violators could be charged disorderly conduct or more serious offences, officials said.
