FOURTH OF JULY
Lexington's Fourth of July celebration will have the following effect on traffic on downtown streets:
July 3: Third Street will be closed between Upper Street and Broadway from 5 to 11 p.m., and Short Street will be closed from Market Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

July 4: These streets will be closed at these times:
■ Main Street from Midland Avenue to Mill Street, 5 to 11 a.m. for the Bluegrass 10,000 race.
■ Main Street from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Mill Street, 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the street festival.
■ Main Street from Midland Avenue to Broadway, 1:45 to 4 p.m. for the parade.
■ Main Street from Broadway to Jefferson Street, 4 to 11 p.m. for the July Fourth Live! concert.
■ Short Street from Mill Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Limestone from Vine Street to Barr Street, and Upper Street from Church Street to Vine Street, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
■ Midland Avenue from East Third Street to Main Street, 11:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
■ Short Street from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Eastern Avenue, Vine Street from Broadway to Midland Avenue, and Limestone from High Street to Vine Street, 7 to 11 a.m.
■ Rose Street from High Street to Short Street, 7 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m.
■ Quality Street from Main Street to Water Street, and Esplanade from Main to Short Street, 5 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
■ Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from High Street to Short Street and Mill Street from Short Street to High Street, 7 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
■ Broadway from High Street to Third Street, 2 to 4 p.m. and 9:50 to 10:30 p.m.
■ Oliver Lewis Way from Main Street to Manchester Street, 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.
■ Leestown Road from Forbes Road to Newtown Pike, 9:45 to 10:30 p.m.
Traffic could be congested downtown near the Fifth Third Pavilion at Cheapside Park from 4-8 p.m. Thursday for Central Bank Thursday Night Live.
SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT
The right inbound lane of Nicholasville Road will be blocked between Johnson Avenue and Hiltonia Park through Monday for road work.
Both lanes of Seton Road will be blocked between Laketower and Lakeshore drives through Friday to construct a turn lane in the median.
One lane at a time of Clays Mill Road will be closed between Keithshire and Cromwell Ways from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday as part of the Clays Mill Road widening project.
The right lane and sidewalk of West Main Street will be blocked between North Broadway and Algonquin Street from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday for utility work.
The right turn lane of the East New Circle Road ramp onto outbound Richmond Road will be blocked through July 13 for manhole work.
There will be a rolling blockage in the right outbound lane of South Broadway between Pine Street and West High Street through July 18 to install new gas mains.
MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT
The southbound lane of Henry Clay Boulevard will be blocked at Bon Air Drive from Tuesday through Friday for utility work.
One lane at a time of Columbia Avenue will be blocked between Woodland and Pennsylvania avenues through Friday for utility work.
One lane at a time of Angliana Avenue will be blocked between Curry Avenue and Versailles Road through July 13 for utility work.
The westbound lane of Sparks Road will be closed between Delaware and Lagonda avenue through Wednesday for utility work.
The right off-street parking lane of South Martin Luther King Boulevard will be blocked at East Maxwell Street at Good Samaritan Hospital through July 25 for remodeling work.
One lane at a time of Morgan Avenue between Bryan Avenue and Oak Hill Drive will be blocked from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through July 31 for sewer work.
