A motorcyclist who was injured in a wreck on New Circle Road on Sunday has died.
Andrew W. Mahoney, 24, of Lexington, was pronounced dead at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Fayette County coroner's office.
A witness told police that Mahoney was speeding on the outer loop of New Circle Road when his Yamaha R6 rear-ended a Ford Mustang.
"Mahoney was launched off his bike and came to rest in the road," Lexington police said in a news release. A second car then ran over Mahoney's legs. That car did not stop; police had not found it Sunday.

Mahoney was not wearing a helmet, police said.
