Traffic is expected to be congested near Rupp Arena on Saturday for the University of Kentucky vs. Marshall University men's basketball game. The game starts at 4 p.m.
MAJOR TRAFFIC IMPACT
Sandersville Road will be closed to through traffic 24 hours a day from Greendale Road to Jaggie Fox Way through Friday to repair a railroad bridge. Only local traffic will be permitted. Through traffic will be diverted to Mercer Road.
SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC IMPACT
The right outbound lane of West Main Street will possibly be blocked between Newtown Pike and Jefferson Street from Monday through Jan. 18 to replace utility poles.
The right lane of the inner loop of Man O War Boulevard will be blocked between Rapid Run Drive and Mount McKinley Way from Monday through Dec. 31, to replace sidewalks.
The right outbound lane of West Main Street will be blocked between Jefferson Street and Buchanan Street through Dec. 31, to replace a utility pole.
MODERATE TRAFFIC IMPACT
The southbound travel lane or the turn lane of Jefferson Street will be blocked between Tower Plaza and West Main Street from Monday through Friday to replace utility poles.
The westbound lane of Water Street will be blocked from Ayres Alley to Hernando Alley from Tuesday through Friday for construction work.
Lexington Avenue will be closed between the Avenue of Champions and East Maxwell Street from Monday through Dec. 31, for construction work.
One lane at a time of Henry Street will be closed at King Street through Friday for utility work.
A rolling closure will block one lane at a time of Angliana Avenue between South Broadway and Versailles Road through Dec. 31, for utility work.
