Here is how Lexington services are affected Monday by Memorial Day:
City trash collection: Those who normally have Monday collection will have service Wednesday. Businesses that have city waste management services for their Dumpsters with Monday pickup will have their units picked up Tuesday. Tuesday pickups will be Wednesday. The Lexington Recycling Center, the city’s Electronic Recycling Center and the Haley Pike Waste Management facility will be closed.
Lexington city government: Closed.
State government: Closed.
Lextran: Operating on Sunday schedule.
Mail: No delivery.
Courts: Federal, circuit and district court are closed, but district court is open for bonds and fine payment.
Fayette County Health Department: Closed.
