A man is facing over a dozen fraud and theft charges after taking over a million dollars from another man to invest.
Kenneth Thomas, 65, is charged with 13 counts of theft by deception and one count of fraudulent and other prohibited practices/securities for stealing $1.3 million that was intended to be invested in the Lexington-based Company, Retire America, according to Lexington police.
During an investigation earlier this month, police determined Thomas was accepting money from people to invest, but had not invested the funds. Police did not say how many people gave Thomas money, but those claims are currently being investigated, and additional charges could be filed.
