Young people ages 14-17 who want summer jobs can apply to Lexington's Summer Youth Employment Program beginning Feb. 1.
Applications will be available online at www.lexingtonky.gov, The deadline to apply and submit documentation is 4 p.m. Feb. 27. There will be 225 jobs available to Lexington residents.
The program is open to those who fit the age requirements and who are eligible to work in the United States. Social Security card, a picture ID, and birth certificate are required.
Documentation must be mailed to Division of Youth Services, 101 East Vine Street, Suite 150, Lexington, KY 40507. Copies must be readable.

Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants will be required to attend an orientation and participate in the Youth Employment Enhancement Program, which teaches how to complete a job application, common work rules, interviewing and how to write a resume, along with other work-related skills.
