Bridge demolition on New Circle Road that was initially scheduled for Friday and Saturday has been rescheduled for Saturday and Sunday because of cold temperatures, the state Department of Highways said in a release.
From 7 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday, the left lane of the outer loop between Leestown Road and Old Frankfort Pike will be closed.
The entire road will be closed between the Leestown and Old Frankfort Pike exits for 30-minute intervals beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday.
Then, from 7 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, the left lane of the inner loop will be closed.
The entire road will be closed again between the Leestown and Old Frankfort Pike exits for 30-minute intervals beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday.
A reduced speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect at all times. Motorists are advised to use side streets in lieu of traveling New Circle Road to avoid delays.
All work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
