A University of Kentucky dairy barn filled with hay collapsed in flames Saturday afternoon.
Lexington firefighters who were called to the scene off Dairy Lane at 5:25 p.m. found the barn engulfed and already partially collapsed, Battalion Chief Jeff Nantz said.
He said the biggest problem firefighters faced was finding a way to get to the property, which is off Georgetown Road and adjacent to a subdivision on Drummond Drive.
No injuries were reported, and there was no livestock inside.
Never miss a local story.
Nantz said the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
