An early-morning fire Friday displaced 11 people in two families who lived on Olympia Road in south Lexington, according to authorities.
A kitchen blaze moved into the attic of the duplex, causing heavy fire and smoke damage, Lexington Fire Department Maj. William Saunooke said.
No one was hurt, Saunooke said. Neither of the two families mentioned owning any pets.
Both families lost a lot in the 3 a.m. fire, Saunooke said. Red Cross came to help the families.
