The overnight storms have put Lexington in the top ten for wettest July’s on record. We are currently at number eight with more than 8 inches of rain. With two weeks left in the month, we may make a run at the top spot.
Steamy temps will be around Saturday and Sunday. Highs hit 90-95 in the west and near 90 in the east. Heat index values will be well above 100 in the west and near 100 elsewhere. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop and some could be strong with very heavy rain.
