The Faith and Community Christmas Store is once again seeking volunteers and donations of “gently used” toys, games and books.
The Christmas store, which is in its 20th year, will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 16-18 at Southland Christian Church’s Richmond Road campus.
More than 18,300 children were helped last year, according to a news release from the Catholic Action Center.
Adult shoppers will be able to choose two free toys, stuffed animals, books and stocking stuffers for each of their children. Pre-registration is not required, and tickets will be distributed to shoppers beginning at 8 a.m. Dec. 16.
Volunteers are needed to help set up the store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 11, 12, 14 and 15. No signups are needed; those who want to help may simply show up.
For more information or to sign up to volunteer when the store is open, visit Godsnet.info.
Donations may be dropped off through Dec. 10 at a number of locations that are listed on the website, including the Kroger stores at Beaumont and Brannon Crossing. Beginning Friday, donations can be dropped off at Southland on Richmond Road between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
