NICHOLASVILLE — One person remained in critical condition Thursday after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Jessamine County.
Jay McClanahan, 25, of Nicholasville was listed in critical condition at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, a spokeswoman said Thursday.
Jonie Wallace, 30, of Nicholasville and Phyllis Salyer, 55, of Lexington were discharged from the hospital.
McClanahan was driving a 2004 Honda car east on West Brannon Road near Legacy Drive, when his car hydroplaned, crossed the center line and collided with a 1998 Toyota car driven by Salyer, Jessamine County Deputy Sheriff Anthony Purcell said.
McClanahan's car then traveled across the road and hit a tree. McClanahan and Wallace, his passenger, where thrown out of the car into a field.
The wet road was a primary factor in the accident, Purcell said.
He said McClanahan and Wallace were not wearing seat belts. Salyer was wearing a seat belt.
