Mason Hill on contrabass and Heather Dollins on flute performed with "The Firebird Chamber Ensemble" in the Clark Chapel of the Wilmore United Methodist Church, 209 East Main St., Wilmore on Oct. 23. The concert raised awareness and collected donations for restoration of the Clark Chapel, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is an anchor in the Wilmore Downtown Renaissance District. The next benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, will feature a reflective narrative by Mark Rains about the historic chapel followed by a performance by keyboardist Lynn Smith.
CPR training offered
Jessamine County EMS is offering new CPR training classes that cover methods for infants, toddlers and adults. Participants will also learn how to use an automatic external defibrillator and how to help others who are choking. Classes will be held on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Jessamine County Career and Technology Center, 881 Wilmore Road, Nicholasville. Cost is $5 per class.
