The Jessamine County Health Department's 2011 "Start Here" campaign encourages women with no health insurance or those who meet certain federal income guidelines to schedule breast cancer screenings (ages 40-64) and cervical cancer screenings (ages 21-64) at the health department.
The campaign is sponsored by Central Baptist Hospital and targets women who fall into the categories of never screened or rarely screened. The campaign kicks off this spring and continues through October.
