Richmond police are looking for a man who is accused of passing seven fraudulent checks totaling more than $5,000 over the past month.
Jeffrey T. McKenna, 48, whose last known address was near McKee in Jackson County, is wanted in connection with a series of bad checks for sums of more than $300 to an array of businesses in the Richmond area. Many of those checks were drawn on the account of Lake Shore Engineering in Richmond and made payable to McKenna.
The largest check — for $2,700 — was passed on Feb. 1 to Wade's Pawn on East Main Street in Richmond. That check was drawn on the account of National College and made payable to McKenna.
McKenna is described as a white male who is 6-foot-3, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
