Three Richmond residents are accused of dragging a woman into an apartment and holding her against her will, police said Thursday.
Lewis Alan Cole, 24, Theoddeus Gray, 22, and Tasha Gibson, 28, were each charged Tuesday with first-degree wanton endangerment, kidnapping and second-degree assault, Richmond police said in a release.
The arrests occurred after police were sent to an apartment in the 100 block of South Killarney to investigate a reported assault. Officers met with the victim outside the apartment building where the alleged assault took place.
The woman told police she had been dragged into the building and held inside, and that she had been struck in the head and torso several times with a handgun.
Cole also was charged with violation of an emergency protective order and was served with an arrest warrant for failure to appear in Fayette District Court, Richmond police said.
Cole and Gray were being held in the Madison County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bonds. Gibson was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
