A Richmond man is accused of taking more than $12,000 from the city-owned miniature golf course at Lake Reba Recreational Complex, police said Monday.
Gary Gray Jr., 27, a seasonal employee at the facility, was charged Friday with theft by unlawful taking more than $10,000, Richmond police said in a release. Gray faces possible firing by the Richmond City Commission, City Police Chief Larry Brock said.
In August, police initiated an investigation after an audit of Adventure Falls, the miniature golf and batting cage complex at Lake Reba, said money was missing from the deposits made to the bank on behalf of the facility.
Police said about $12,694 had been taken from the deposits between April 12 and July 24.
Gray was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center, but he was released Friday after posting a $2,500 unsecured bond.
