Former President George W. Bush will come to Richmond next year as part of a fund-raiser for St. Mark Roman Catholic Church and School.
The 43rd president is scheduled to be at St. Mark on May 3, 2012, for a meet-and-greet event and a moderated question-and-answer session, according to the church's Web site.
Former First Lady Laura Bush visited the Richmond church in May 2011 as part of "A Day Among Friends," an event to promote literacy. Her husband's visit is billed as "A Day Among Friends Part 2."
Tickets for the 2012 Q&A session with former President Bush are $250 each. For a $1,000 donation, one gets a "photo op" with Bush and the Q&A session.
Never miss a local story.
In recent years, the church has hosted celebrities including Harry Connick Jr., Natalie Cole, Bill Cosby, Dolly Parton and Regis Philbin. Connick had two sold-out performances Sunday night at the church.
