A planned visit by Former President George W. Bush to St. Mark Roman Catholic Church and School in Richmond next week has been postponed.
According to a recorded message on the church's telephone, Bush's office notified St. Mark officials that he needed to postpone his fund-raiser visit, originally scheduled for May 3.
No new date for Bush's visit was given.
Father Jim Sichko, pastor at St. Mark, says on the recording that the postponement was beyond the church's control, and he offers apologies.

Additional information was not immediately available Wednesday morning. There was no answer at Sichko's church phone.
According to the recording, people who bought tickets for Bush's appearance will receive refunds within a few weeks.
Bush's visit had been billed as "A Day Among Friends Part 2," and was scheduled after a visit to St. Mark last year by his wife, former first lady Laura Bush.
