New Opportunity School graduates first class since fire

Resident students at the New Opportunity School for Women in Berea traditionally pick nicknames for their classes. Fittingly, the nine women who graduated from the program Saturday named their class after "the Phoenix" after a mythical creature that rises from the ashes upon death. The class was the first to graduate since an arson fire destroyed the school's headquarters in December.
