A man was shot twice in the back early Friday in Richmond, but police have few leads because he was uncooperative in the investigation, Richmond police said.
The shooting was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, when a resident in the 200 block of Central Court called 911 to say that a man was on his porch saying he had been shot.
When officers arrived, the victim said he had been shot while he was walking on nearby railroad tracks. He then went to Central Court for help.
Police did not identify the victim. He was uncooperative with police, and it wasn't clear whether he knew his assailant. The man also was uncooperative with emergency personnel who tried to treat him, police said.
The victim was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He was reported to be in good condition, police said.
