A missing Madison County girl has been found safe, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers said Harley D. Bussell, 17, had never been abducted as initially feared, but simply had been staying at a residence in Richmond after running away from home.
She had been listed as missing since Jan. 20, when her father dropped her off at Madison Southern High School. Police for a time thought she had left the school and run away with some unknown person.
Troopers said, however, that they located Harley early Wednesday night in Richmond after receiving a tip.
The case remains under investigation.
