Two people were killed and a third was injured when two vehicles collided in Bath County Thursday night, Kentucky State Police said.
Monica Wells, 43, of Richmond, and a passenger in her vehicle, Christopher Meadows, 37, of Owingsville, died at the scene, according to the Morehead state police post.
Trevor Duncan, 31, of Owingsville, was treated at Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester and then transferred to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. Duncan has since been released, UK officials said Friday morning.
The crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Ky. 36, about a half-mile west of Owingsville, according to police.

Troopers said Wells was driving west on Ky. 36 when her 2001 Oldsmobile drifted across the center line, colliding with Duncan's eastbound 2008 Jeep SUV.
Neither Wells nor Meadows was wearing a seat belt, state police said.
An investigation into the wreck is continuing, and toxicology tests are pending, according to state police.
