Richmond police say they solved the case of an iPad theft with a little help from the man who stole it.
Back on Nov. 10, a resident of Woods Trail reported that a black Apple iPad 2 in a dark gray case had been stolen from her parked vehicle.
On Sunday, police said in a news release, "the investigating officer developed (Allen G.) Fraley as a suspect in the case."
The officer went to Fraley's home on Big Hill Avenue to ask about the device but didn't turn up anything, the report said
Soon after, the iPad mysteriously appeared outside the front door of the police station.
Fraley, 27, was arrested outside his residence and taken to the Madison County Detention Center on a charge of receiving stolen property valued at $500 to $10,000.
