A Richmond man has been arrested for crashing a stolen car in a creek bed and then leaving the scene.
Dwight Rose, 36, was found hiding in a Richmond residence and was arrested Thursday in connection with the crash, which happened in January.
Richmond police say they found the Hyundai sedan, which had been reported stolen out of Columbia, along Tates Creek Avenue late Jan. 9, according to a news release. The car had a stolen license plate on it as well.
Residents of the area had seen a man and woman walking away from the crash, with the woman complaining of a broken arm. Officers later found the woman, who was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Warrants were issued for Rose's arrest, charging him with receiving stolen property over $10,000, leaving the scene of an injury accident and driving on a suspended license.
Rose was taken to the Madison County Detention Center after his arrest last week.
