GEORGETOWN — The trial of a Scott County man charged in the deaths of his parents has been moved to January.
James Anthony Gray, 39, appeared in Scott Circuit Court on Friday afternoon before Judge Paul Isaacs. His public defender Rodney Barnes requested that the trial set for June be moved to give him time to prepare an adequate defense.
Prosecutors said they were ready to begin the trial in June.
Isaacs moved the trial's start to Jan. 4.

A grand jury indicted Gray on two counts of murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence in October 2007.
In April 2007, Gray shot his father in the head twice, his mother in the head once and then disposed of the pistol, the indictment says.
