Police are searching for a man who might have been involved in two gas station robberies early Thursday morning.
A man with a white tank top over his face and a handgun entered the Shell gas station at 435 West New Circle Road about 3 a.m. Thursday, Lexington police Detective Shannon Garner said. He demanded money from the clerk, then fled on foot.
The man also could be connected to a Shell gas station robbery in Georgetown, Garner said. That incident took place shortly after the Lexington robbery.
Police describe the man as a black male, about 18 years old, 180 pounds and between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He wore a black shirt and blue jean shorts.
