FRANKFORT — State police charged a Georgetown man with manufacturing methamphetamine and six counts of wanton endangerment after police found four children in the home where the methamphetamine was being made.
A tip led Kentucky State Police to the active meth lab on Pokeberry Road in Scott County on Thursday night.
Joey W. Griffith, 39, of Georgetown, was arrested on manufacturing, unlawful possession of a meth precursor and endangerment charges.
Meth labs have increased in Kentucky by 25 percent from the same time period last year, state police said. As of June 29, there have been 600 meth labs reported in Kentucky. In 2010, there were a total of 1,080 meth labs.
