A Scott County man was arrested Thursday on child-pornography charges, Kentucky State Police said.
Cory Martin Gaines, 21, of Georgetown, was charged with five counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor and five counts of distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
The arrest was the result of an eight-month investigation, state police said. With assistance from the FBI and the Scott County Sheriff's Office, state police executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence on Gemini Trail in Scott County.
Gaines was lodged in the Scott County jail.
