A Versailles woman was formally charged Friday in connection with an incident that led to her being shot Sunday by Georgetown police, Kentucky State Police said.
Leann Phillips, 47, was charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of attempted arson, state police said in a release.
Phillips was shot after she threatened to run into Georgetown police officers with a car following a domestic squabble with her boyfriend, police said. Phillips had tried to start a fire inside the boyfriend's home before officers arrived, Georgetown police said.
Georgetown police Officer Larry Curtis was put on administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation.
Phillips was lodged in the Scott County jail.
