At least five motorcyclists were taken to area hospitals Saturday night after a minvan plowed into them on Interstate 75 in Scott County.
The motorcyclists had stopped under an overpass at mile marker 129 to get out of the rain when the minivan's driver lost control and hit them, said Georgetown police Sgt. Larry Wilson. Police were called at 8:30 p.m.
He said a few of those injured "are hurt pretty bad."
Four of the five were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, he said.
Wilson said no one in the van was injured.
Wilson said five motorcycles were hit by the van, and several of them were severely damaged.
